Here at The Fat Fairy Works we don't just rework vintage curiosities, we also have the facilities to repair and renovate most more modern precious items, such as lawn mowers, bicycles, tricycles, motorcycle engines, mopeds, tools, coffee tables, beloved ornaments and so on.

Our resto-curio service is here to help people preserve precious memories and regain the emotion that some physical objects lose over time. In addition, we believe that up-cycling is primarily for making old and broken objects into things that no-one really wants or needs. Our repair service is here to make something functional again (and hence save buying a new one and throwing the old one away).

Tool Repair

We now repair and restore most hand tools. We are pleased to announce a new service repairing, refurbishing and restoring vintage and more modern hand tools to bring that old favourite back to life. Where possible the hand tool will be made functional again within its original design purpose (e.g. a screwdriver is a screwdriver not a chisel). Read our cautionary note about hammers and other hardened tools here.
